ELISEO TUDERTE FATTORINI (Italian, 1830-1887) A Very Fine and Life-Size Italian 19th Century Marble Figure of A Young Semiramis, The Assyrian Queen of Babylon at The Temple Steps. The impressive 'quattro colori' (Four-Color) marble sculpture in white statuary Carrara, Brêche Verte, Violette de Seravezza and Grey Bardiglio Imperiale, a perfect example of The Aesthetic Movement Period (1860-1900) shows an alluringly standing and slender maiden leaning against an Assyrian winged bull (Assyrian Lamassu Guardian), her left hand holding an ostrich plume fan, her short ringlets held under a royal bird headdress, wearing palmette earrings, a necklace hanging across her breast, wearing a bejewelled bodice, her long skirt held by a jewelled belt with long fringed sash decorated with papyrus umbels, wearing leather sandals. A Very Fine and Large Italian 19th Century Carrara Marble Group "Allegory to Music" Depicting five Bacchic Putti musicians playing various instruments. The finely carved Palatial Group with five children, the three center ones standing while the two at each end sitting on a rock, four of them playing cymbals, trumpet, mandolin and while one in the center reading music. Ferdinando Vichi (Italian, 1875-1945) A Fine and Lifesize Italian White Carrara Marble Figure of The Belvedere Apollo, After the original, now in the Vatican Museum, the Belvedere Apollo has defined the Greek aesthetic ideals of harmony, noble simplicity and quiet grandeur. Apollo is depicted as an archer, having just killed the Python of Delphi. The carved figure displays the tension lingering as if the arrow has just left his bow.
