A Fine Pair of English Mid-19th Century Minton Parcel-Biscuit Turquoise-Ground Four-Light Candelabra, After a Model by French Sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (1824-1887), emblematic of night and day, finely modeled as either a classically draped male attended by a putto holding a torch or a scantily clad sleeping woman, her attendant putto resting at her side, his torch extinguished, each suporting rocaille-molded candlearms and seated on a fluted column, the conforming base raised on three scroll feet. Impressed uppercase mark and incised heart. Shape Nos.620 and 621 respectively. Circa: 1850
